Berlin

It's only been a matter of weeks and once again the streets of Prenzlauer-berg have become a fading memory. Why is Berlin SO special to me?

It is infused with secular symbolism I suppose. It draws the disfunctional and the creative; those who seek some meaning from both the material and the immaterial. It has cultural weight and substance.

It is physically a place.

It has become a symbol of reconciliation, a shining beacon of a future that encompasses the past.

How I long to be like that.
