My name is Tryg Verran. Thanks for stopping by...
I am 40 (something) years old. I was born at a very early age and raised on a small farm, somewhere near the middle of nowhere, in Cornwall, England.
I have never settled.
My love affair with London is the closest I have come to putting down roots. However, I am currently working my way around Asia lecturing at universities and colleges, and undertaking postgraduate research in Comparative Literature at Birkbeck University.
In 2004 I was voted the campest man in England, some might say this is akin to being voted the biggest vodka drinker in Moscow, I would agree. I worked a very short stint on the Scott Mills show for BBC Radio 1.
I have been singer/songwriter/lyricist/frontman for the rock bands "The Stuntdoubles" and "My Lady Jane" (Click Here) - with which I toured to such exotic locations as Paris, Berlin, New York, San Francisco, Bristol and Manchester England! You get the picture, I lived the rock and roll dream.
I have worked and managed bars and clubs all over the place and I recently discover the word impresario which sums up the work I do quite nicely.
I went to college as a mature student and studied a degree in English Literature and Creative Writing. I was awarded first class honours and I have had several of my plays performed around the world.
In 2015 I obtained a distinction for a MA Masters in Comparative Literature from Birkbeck College, at The University of London. I continue to write and perform in many guises and I am fortunate to live the life I love.
